John B. Rohan has worked for The Villages Community Development District since 1993. John’s leadership extends to several areas within the recreation department that include Fitness Clubs, Special Events, The Enrichment Academy, and Room Reservations. These facilities are managed with a budget of $22 million per year and over 600 full and part time employees. Since 2011, The Villages Recreation & Parks Department has received the CAPRA Accreditation from the National Recreation & Park Association and is one of the few accredited recreation departments in the state of Florida.

Welcome to The Villages Deep Sea Fishing Club!
The Fishing Club meets on the first Monday of the month at the Everglades Rec Center. The doors will open at 6:00 PM and the meeting will start at 6:30 PM. If you wish to become a member please come to the meeting to sign up, make sure you have your Villagers ID handy. You can also download your membership form, print it off, and bring it with you to the club meeting to save time. Download new member application form. Fishing Trips After you have signed up, you may visit tables manned by the trip coordinators and set up around the room that are used to register and collect money for fishing trips on charters and party boats. Any questions you may have can be answered by the trip coordinators at these sign up tables. It's that time of year! - March and April is a great time to catch some delicious and fun fish. Near shore fishing for snook, redfish, trout, mangrove snapper, sheepshead and black drum. Offshore fishing (Atlantic) for amberjack, vermillion snapper, triggerfish, hogfish and even some pelagics like Mahi, tuna, wahoo, etc.
