Arlene Cash broke the losing streak of recent fishing due to cold weather with a nice string of trigger and seabass on February 22nd on the Pastime Princess.  She even the first prize in the fish pool with her trigger.  "Bout time someone beat out Vernon.

Another successful trip aboard the Gulf Grouper on January 19th.  A limit of gag grouper up to 15 lbs plus 4 red grouper and plenty of grunts.  Fish catchers were:  Dick Schilling, Jim Webb, Al Blanchard, Rich Reed, Joe Skok and Tom Baldwin. Al  Blanchard poses next to the "big one" caught aboard the Gulf Grouper. The sad story continues.  The amount of fish your webmaster has caught in the last 3 months.

Fred O'Connor hoists a nice mess of trigger fish and sea bass caught aboard the Pastime Princess on January 14th Tom Martin was so excited over catching 22 whopper trigger fish, he lost his head over it.  Oh well, at least he didn't lose the fish.  Tom got these on the Pastime Princess on January 14th.  Everett Belter caught 19 triggers.  Billy Kahn had the biggest trigger which weighed in at 5 lbs. Arlene Cash also did well.  According to Everett, 136 trigger fish were caught on this trip.

Wade Heath, with help from Cpt Rick, hoists his 14 pound gag grouper caught in 30+ degree weather aboard the Gulf Grouper on January 7th. The gang on the January 7th trip: Cy Morgan, John Storer, Wade Heath, Dick Gamble, Paul Watkins and Andy Pallotto.  Note the baseball caps, it must have warmed up a little.

Another nice limit of gag grouper caught aboard the Gulf Grouper on December 7th.  A nice 4-lb mangrove snapper and several grunts were also  boated.  Shown are Everett Belter, Buddy Budde, Dick Gamble, Bill Smock, Vernon Cash and Bill Olson. The Cash's did it again. Nice catch of 4 red snapper up to a whopping 12 lbs., 12 sea bass, 2 mangrove snapper up to 6 lbs., 1 yellow tail and 1 6-lb kingfish caught aboard the Pastime Princess on a 2-3 day trip in late December. Bill Smock shows off his whopper of a red snapper also caught aboard the Pastime Princess on a recent trip.

Alas, no fish left for the rest of us to catch, all nice keepers.  13 red snapper up to 20 lbs., 16 trigger fish., 2 gag grouper, 10 sea bass, yellow tail, etc., caught aboard the HafnHaf on November 24th.  Wow! Here is the group responsible for this: (not necessarily in order):  Pete Welsh, Ron Dahlgren, Don Goughan, Richy Farow, Jayne Goughan, and Dave Dolinsky.  Pete Welsh holds up his beauty red snapper. Although not shown, the rest of the group certainly added their share of fish to the pile.  Way to go guys.  Congrats to Skipper Doug and Mate Matt for a successful trip.

A nice amberjack was caught by Ewell Eubanks aboard Cpt Fussell's boat out of Crystal river on October 27th.  Grouper and red snapper were also caught. Congratulations to the group making the first trip out of Hernando Beach on the Gulf Grouper. They boated their limit of gag grouper plus a keeper red.  From L to R:  Dick Gamble, Tom Witt, John Storer, Pete Andres, Ev Arnold and Vern Cash. Vernon Cash proudly displays his big keeper 30-inch gag grouper caught aboard the inaugaral trip on the Gulf Grouper skippered by Captain Rick Rodriguez.

Glenn Kangas with Mate Matt hoisting his gigantic 32 pound gag grouper aboard the Haf n Haf on October 27th.  Wow.  The rest of the gang aboard the Haf n Haf were:  Fred Sikkema, Glenn Kangas, Bill Smock, Dave Martin, Everett Belter and Ron Banas. A total of 8 red snapper, 7 shark and 8 sea bass were also caught The Cash's had a great trip on the Pastime Princess the weekend of November 1st, boating several keeper red snapper, also mangrove and vermillion snapper, trigger fish and an almost keeper cobia.  Nice trip.

A nice weekend outing on the Pastime Princess by the Cash's on September 19th and 20th produced a load of sea bass, kings, spanish and an undersized grouper.  Arlene wants all to know that her Kingfish was bigger than Vernon's.  Go Girl!!!! Bill Smock was along on the same trip and contributed to the nice catch with his load of sea bass and a nice trigger fish.  The "gang of four" from left to right, Glenn Kangas, Jack Yordt, Everett Belter and Tom Martin, proudly show their nice catch of redfish caught on CPT Fussell's boat out of Crystal River on September 28th.  They also boated several more reds which were released and about a dozen spanish mackerel.

Just received this photo of member Mary Paulsboe with her beautiful 35-pound redfish caught at Mosquito Lagoon on April 28th. The "boyz in the hood" did pretty good on this one.  Buddy Budde, Bob Seguin, Tom Witt, Vernon Cash, Bill Smock and Everett Belter pose with their 22 grouper and 4 snapper caught aboard the Sanitarium on June 16th. Not shown is a 150-lb nurse shark caught and released by none other than Everett. Vernon Cash and Tom Martin shown with their nice catches of gag grouper caught aboard the Thunder on September 17th.  Vernon edged out Tom by a half pound with his 5-pounder to take the fish pool first prize.  Good fishing, guys.

Ev Arnold barely hanging on to two 25+ pound class Amberjack caught aboard the Haf n Haf on June 3rd. Look at Sue Waller holding the catch of the day.  A nice 23-lb red fish caught on April 12th at Mosquito Lagoon.  Husband Ken and Viv Arnold were also there.  Way to go, Sue! Dick Gamble struggles to hold up his 26-lb cobia caught on the Haf n Haf on May 28th.  Frank Giaccone shows off his nice dolphin on the same Haf n Haf trip.  Also aboard were Everett Belter, Jerry Blankenship,John Belles and John Costello.

Another whopper 22-lb prize winning kingfish caught by Vernon Cash on the Pastime Princess on May 2nd. Only pocketed a measly $115 this time.  Next to him, Arlene holds a nice 8-lb mangrove snapper.  The Cash's went out again on May 3rd and caught a mess of nice snapper but no 1st prize this time. Bill Smock went along with the Cash's and boated a real nice vermillion snapper.  Looks like the Cash's didn't get them all.

Tom Witt holding a nice 10-lb red grouper aboard the Sanitarium on April 23rd.  Bob Seguin and Mel Traub also caught a 10-lb red grouper while Roger Cooper boated a 10-lb gag grouper. Same trip, April 23rd aboard the Sanitarium.  Left to Right:  Roger Cooper, Mel Traub, Tom Witt, Willie Kuecker, Bob Seguin and Dick Gamble.  Everyone aboard caught at least one keeper.  Overall, about 75 grouper were caught and one beautiful red snapper which had to be released. Mel Traub with his nice 10-lb red grouper on the same trip.

Bill Smock also caught this gigantic red snapper on the same trip on the Pastime Princess on April 5th with the Cash's Chuck Sackman took 1st prize with this nice 12-lb gag grouper aboard the Apollo on April 16th.  A total of 18 keeper grouper were caught by club members. Gilberto Bordoni took second place with his nice grouper up to 8-lbs.  He also boated a nice kingfish.
