SEMI-ANNUAL PICNIC (FISH FRY)

The first annual fish fry was held in the fall of 1999 and was a smashing success and was the social event of the year.  In fact it was such a success that The Club currently holds two fish fries every year, one in the spring and one in the fall.  The fish fry is open to all members and their spouses.  Outside guests are not permitted as this is a closed club event.  Once a date is established, information is provided to the members at scheduled meetings via announcements and flyers.  As this is a members only event, volunteers are critical to a successful day.  So please say YES when asked to volunteer.

WHEN IS THE NEXT FISH FRY?

APRIL 1ST 2010

WHEN DOES IT START? AT 11:00 AM.  FOOD USUALLY SERVED AROUND 12:00
WHAT ABOUT THE LAST FISH FRY?  THE NOVEMBER 5TH FISH FRY WAS ENJOYED BY OVER 170 MEMBERS ATTENDING.    HOWEVER, SEE THE NOTE BELOW ABOUT HELPING TO ENSURE THAT THERE WILL CONTINUE TO BE AMPLE FISH AT FUTURE FRYS.  THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE SINCE THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS ATTENDING THE FRY KEEPS INCREASING EVERY YEAR.  SHOWN BELOW ARE PHOTOS FROM THIS EVENT AND A LIST OF VOLUNTEERS THAT MADE THIS PICNIC A SUCCESS.

Frequently Asked Questions Answers
WHERE DO WE GET THE FISH Through voluntary donations by club members who catch more fish than they can use or just want to donate to help support the fish fry. (Note: The Club pays for the fish cleaning for all donated fish). PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT WITHOUT ENOUGH FISH BEING DONATED BY THE MEMBERS, THERE WILL NOT BE ENOUGH TO GO AROUND.  WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.  WE ALSO NEED MORE FISHERMEN/WOMEN TO GO OUT AND CATCH THEM.
HOW ABOUT THE OTHER FOOD Club members are asked to bring a covered dish of potatoes, vegetables, salads or dessert based on the first letter of their last name.  SUGGESTION:  A thru E: Dessert.  F thru K: Potatoes.  L thru P: Salad.  R thru Z: Vegetable.  For those who cannot eat fish, hot dogs and burgers are provided.  Refreshments are also provided.
WHAT IS THE COST $7.00 per person covers all expenses.  Tickets are purchased at the meeting and are used for entry to the camp and for lucky number drawings.  If you can’t make the meeting, contact Everett Belter by phone or email and make arrangements to pick them up at his home.
WHERE IS IT HELD Current location is  the Camp Geneva facility in Fruitland Park off of US 27/441.  Any changes in location  will be announced as required.

Steve Klonick proudly displays his new deep sea rig won at the raffle.  Way to go Steve President Everett Belter for the umpteenth (has anybody ever counted?) time doing his job as host of the fish fry Difficult to see, but Lori Crippen receives the 2nd grand prize of a nice spinning reel rig. Of course she then presented it to her husband, Bob.
